Guests often come for a person as much as a place: the teacher of the Wednesday class, the chef, the host of the quiz night. Your website can now introduce them.
Profiles in the admin
Under Team › Profiles, add the people your site should show. Each profile has a photo, a role, specialties, a bio and links. Set the order they appear in, and link a profile to a team member's account if they have one.Profiles start private. One appears on the site only when all three hold:
the team page is switched on (Team page on the site),
you made the profile public,
the person has not hidden it themselves.
People edit their own
Switch on Members edit their own profile, and a linked member can change their own words, photo and links under My profile, or hide their profile altogether. The person always has the last word on their own page.
On your website
A Team page lists everyone, and each person gets their own page, for example /team/anna, with what they lead next.
A Team section can go on any page, in four layouts: grid, list, spotlight, or an Expanding row of tall portraits that open one at a time.
Search engines are told who each person is.
Who leads each event
The event editor has a Led by picker. Event pages show who leads them, with a card linking to each profile, and a duplicated event keeps its hosts. In the admin, once you have a team, the events list is grouped by who leads each event, with events nobody leads yet at the top.
A colour per person
Give a profile a colour, once, and every event they lead takes it:
On the website's week schedule, each class is tinted with its leader's colour. A full class stays grey.
In the month view, the event's date badge takes the colour too.
In the admin, a coloured dot marks the person in the profiles list and the events list.
An event led by several people takes the colour of the first one who has one. Without a colour, your brand colour stands in as before.
